Ace of Spades

Get revenge on the necromancer Lord Overkill by defeating his minions using poker moves in a supernatural west.

Select the 12 enemies you will face during the game (premeditated or random). The last one is always Lord Overkill on one of his four difficulty levels.
Place the first enemy card face up. Each card indicates the enemy's hit points and the number of bullets (played) available to defeat it.
Shuffle the illustrated French deck and deal 8 cards to your hand (Solitaire) or 5 cards to each player (Co-op)
In co-op mode, the other 3 cards are placed face up in the center as shared cards, Texas Hold'em style.

Rules

Make the best possible move using 5 of the 8 cards in your hand. The move deals damage to the enemy equal to the strength of the poker hand.

The moves and the damage they cause:

A partner deals 1 point of damage. A color scale deals 10 points of damage in a single hit. The other classic poker combinations (double pair, three of a kind, flush, flush, flush, poker, straight flush) score increasingly in between.

The number of bullets (played) per enemy is limited (maximum 4 reloads). You have to evaluate each move very well to get away with it.

In co-op mode, players take turns and cannot give concrete information about their hand, only vague or ambiguous clues.

Defeat all 12 enemies one by one in increasing order of difficulty and finally beat Lord Overkill. Some defeated enemies grant you special abilities to aid you in subsequent fights. If you run out of bullets without defeating the current enemy, you lose the game.
