Setup

  • Place factory displays in the center (5 for 2 players, 7 for 3, 9 for 4).

  • Fill the bag with all 100 tiles and mix them up.

  • Distribute a personal board and score marker (position 0) to each player.

  • Fill each factory display with 4 tiles taken at random from the bag.

  • Place the starting player token in the center of the table.

STRUCTURE OF THE ROUND

  • Each round has three phases in order: factory bid, wall tiling and preparation for the next round.

PHASE 1 — FACTORY OFFER

  • In turn, take all tiles of the same color from a factory source (leftovers go to the center) or take all tiles of the same color from the center. The first player to take the center takes the starting player token and places it on his floor line (1 point deducted). The phase ends when there are no tiles left in any source or center.

PLACEMENT ON PATTERN LINES

The captured tiles must all be placed in the same pattern row on the personal board. Each row accepts a single color and has a fixed number of spaces (row 1 = 1 space, row 5 = 5 spaces). You cannot place a color in a row if that color is already on the wall in the same row. Tiles that do not fit go to the ground line and subtract points.

Ground line

-1, -1, -2, -2, -2, -3, -3 per position (left to right)

PHASE 2 — TILING THE WALL

When a pattern row is complete, the rightmost tile moves to the wall in its color's square. The remaining tiles in the row are discarded. If the row is not complete, it is saved for the next round. As you place each tile on the wall, immediately score:

No adjacent

1 point

With adjacent horizontal

Count all horizontally joined tiles (including the new one)

With adjacent vertical

Count all vertically joined tiles (including the new one)

If it has adjacent in both directions, add both totals.

PHASE 3 — PREPARATION

  • Each player subtracts the points from the tiles on the ground line (never below 0) and discards them. The player with the starting player token starts the next round. The factory fountains are refilled with 4 tiles each.
