Setup
Place the board in the center and distribute the festival location tiles according to the chosen scenario.
Each player takes their personal board, pawn and special action tokens.
Place the starting castellers in the indicated regions of the board.
Each player places their pawn on the starting city and sets their skill markers to their initial values.
Place the round marker on position 1. The game lasts 10 rounds.
ROUND STRUCTURE
Each turn the player may take a series of actions: move to an adjacent location, recruit 2 castellers from their current region, train a skill and/or take a special action.
AVAILABLE ACTIONS
Move
Advance your pawn to an adjacent location
Recruit
Add 2 castellers from your current region to your team
Train
Increase one of the 5 skills on your player board
Special action
Spend a token to recruit 1 extra casteller, move one more time, or put on a local performance
TOWER BUILDING
Each level of the tower must be made up of castellers of the same size. Each level must be narrower than the previous one (the tower tapers upward). Maximum width is 3. Trained skills (Balance, Base, Mix, Strength and Width) allow you to build taller and more complex towers.
PERFORMANCES AND FESTIVALS
Local performances score based on shape and skill. Festivals (every 2 rounds) call for the best possible tower using specific castellers. The better the tower matches the festival requirements, the more points you score.
Victory conditions
The player with the most points after 10 rounds wins.
Points are scored through local performances and festivals: the taller and more complex the tower, the higher the score.
Trained skills (Balance, Base, Mix, Strength and Width) multiply the points scored in performances.
