Setup

  • Shuffle the 19 terrain tiles and place them face up inside the frame to form the island. Distribute the number cards following the alphabetical order indicated on the back of each card. Place the thief in the desert.

  • Each player chooses a color and receives 5 towns, 4 cities, 15 roads and 1 cost tablet.

  • In turns, each player places 2 towns and 2 roads on the board. After placing the second settlement, it receives the resources from the adjacent tiles.

  • Shuffle the development cards and place them in the center. Separate resources by type.

    Build the board by placing the terrain tiles in random order.

    Each player places two starting settlements and two roads.

    Turn-based: Roll the dice, collect resources, and build or buy.

  4. 4

    The first player to reach 10 victory points wins the game.

Victory conditions

The first player to reach 10 victory points on their turn wins. Points are scored like this: each settlement is worth 1 point, each city is worth 2 points, the longest road (minimum 5 sections) is worth 2 points, the largest army (minimum 3 knights) is worth 2 points, and some development cards contribute 1 point each.
