Setup
Randomly remove one card face down without looking at it, out of play.
Deal one card to each player as a starting hand.
Leave the remaining cards as a draw pile in the center of the table.
Each player receives one or more tokens to mark rounds won.

TURN STRUCTURE
On your turn you draw a card and play one of the two you're holding.
CARD EFFECTS
Guard
Guess a rival's card; if correct, they are eliminated
Priest
Secretly look at another player's hand
Baron
Secretly compare hands with a rival; the lowest value is eliminated
Prince
Force a player to discard their card and draw a new one
END OF ROUND
The round ends when only one player remains or the draw pile runs out
TIEBREAKER
If the pile runs out, whoever holds the highest value card wins the round
Victory conditions
- First to reach the required tokens
- Whoever first reaches the number of affection tokens set for the player count wins the game
