Setup
Place the center board on the table.
Randomly choose 3 season cards (one green from Spring, one yellow from Summer and one orange from Autumn) and place them face down in the corresponding area.
Shuffle the waystation tiles and place one randomly, face down, on each marked city on the board.
Place the life cycle board on the side, with the cards from each stage and 3 random life cycle skill tokens at the end of each cycle.
Give each player the components of their color and 2 action cards.
Each player places their first butterfly (generation 1) in Michoacán, the starting point of the journey.
GOAL
It guides the migration of monarch butterflies from Michoacán to northeastern North America and back. Whoever gets the most prosperous butterfly family at the end of Autumn wins.
STRUCTURE OF THE GAME
The game is played in 3 consecutive seasons: Spring (4 turns per player), Summer (5 turns) and Autumn (6 turns). Each station has a scoring objective card at the end of it.
A PLAYER'S TURN
Play a card
Play one of the two cards in your hand and perform the indicated butterfly or butterflies move
Reproduce
If a butterfly ends its movement next to a milkweed, you can hatch a butterfly of the next generation by paying its cost in flower tokens
Steal
End the turn by drawing cards until you have 2 in your hand; two identical cards can be exchanged for a new one
COLLECT RESOURCES AND STOPS
When a butterfly ends its movement on a square with flowers, it collects the corresponding flower token (never from the starting square of the movement or more than once in the same square in a turn). If you end up in a city with a stop token, you get its benefit; if it's the first time that stop is revealed, the flower die is also rolled for an additional bonus.
END OF SEASON
When all players have completed their station turns, the played cards are discarded and the station objective card is scored. The player with the fewest points in that round becomes the starting player for the next station. At the end of the Spring, the butterflies of generation 1 are removed (and the remaining ones of generation 2 are added); at the end of the Summer, those of generation 2 are removed (and those of generation 3 are added).
END OF GAME AND SCORE
Station Objectives

Butterflies in Michoacán
3/7/12/17/21/24 points if you brought 1/2/3/4/5/6 fourth generation butterflies back to Michoacán

Tie breaker
The number of butterflies in Michoacán is compared first, then the flower tokens and finally the life cycle cards; if the tie persists, the victory is shared

Heat is a Formula 1 racing game as easy to learn as it is thrilling to play. You manage a hand of cards representing your car's speed: play more cards to go faster, but you'll gain 'heat' that can make you lose control in corners. The challenge is pushing your speed to the limit without overheating. Easy to bring to the table with family or friends, with a rush of adrenaline that rivals any heavier game.
