Setup

Place the Tuscany board in the center. Each player takes the personal board of his cellar, 6 workers and the tokens of his color.

Deal each player 1 mother card and 1 father card, which grant asymmetrical starting resources and advantages. Everyone chooses which of the two they want to use.

Deal 3 Summer Visitor cards and 3 Winter Visitor cards to each player.

Shuffle the wine order decks (white, red and sparkling) separately and place them on the spaces on the board. Set the score markers to 0.

Rules

  • The game takes place in annual rounds of 4 seasons. In Primavera, each player places their marker on a well-timed board space to determine turn order and gain a small advantage.

  • In Summer and Winter, each player takes turns placing a worker on an available action space to plant vines, build structures in the winery, make wine, complete orders, or hire special visitors.

  • The vines are planted in the field and mature over the years; the grapes are collected and stored in the cup. The wine is made by combining grapes and improving in value year after year until it is sold.

  • Visitor cards (summer or winter) offer powerful special effects that are played when the corresponding action space is visited.

Victory conditions

  • The first player to reach 20 victory points, counted at the end of each Winter, wins.

  • In the event of a tie, whoever has the most lira wins. Points are mainly earned by completing wine orders and building structures in the winery.
